Hi I’m Michelle and thank you for visiting my blog.
I believe wellness starts from within, and my mission is to share some pointers to help professionals achieve a work-life balance and be happier by challenging negative thinking patterns and trying to understand the world which we live in.
Being a dentist, yoga teacher and economics student, my writing is primarily aimed at healthcare professionals (primarily dentists) but can be extrapolated to anyone’s lifestyle.
When deciding the name for my blog, I wanted a single word which did not indicate the content was exclusive to dentists. Acatalepsy – although a paradox in this sense – seemed appropriate because as much as we try to understand the world in which we live, I believe it is truly impossible to do so.
I decided to write Acatalepsy Blog after being inspired by books such as ‘Thinking Fast and Slow‘ and ‘Happiness by Design‘, which impelled me to adapt my seemingly endless pile of sticky notes into articles.
I am by no means enlightened and do not proclaim to know the secret of life, or be immune to provocation. I hope you can join me on my journey of continuous inquisition and be inspired to challenge some of the common misconceptions we have been conditioned to hold dear by society today.
